Signals is in private testing and is not yet open to the public. This page describes exactly what happens to the information you type into the form, which is the only information we collect.
What we collect
Only what you type into the form on the home page:
- your email address (required)
- optionally, your role — what you do in music
- optionally, which of six tools you keep updated
- optionally, a message
Nothing else. We do not collect your name unless you type it, and we do not ask for anything we do not need.
Cookies and measurement
This site sets no cookies at all and uses no third-party analytics, advertising or session-recording script. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Two things do happen that are worth stating plainly. The page loads a typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google's servers, which sees your IP address. And our host keeps standard web-server logs.
Why we use it, and on what basis
To contact you about early access to Signals, and to understand which existing tools people in music actually keep up to date. The lawful basis is your consent, given by submitting the form. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to the address above, and withdrawing is as easy as giving it.
We do not sell your data, share it for marketing, profile you, or add you to anything you did not ask for.
Who else touches it
The site is hosted on Microsoft Azure in a European region, so Microsoft processes it on our behalf. When the form is connected, the submission is delivered and stored by Azure services — the same processor.
That is the whole list. If it ever changes, this page changes first.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, or until the private-testing period ends and we no longer need it — whichever comes first. If we are still holding your details a year after you sent them and nothing has come of it, we delete them.
Your rights
Write to yo@ff8.dev and we will act on any of these, at no cost and without asking why:
- see what we hold about you
- correct it
- delete it
- withdraw your consent
- receive a copy in a portable format
You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. In Spain that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
Changes
If this notice changes materially while we are holding your data, we will tell you at the address you gave us rather than quietly editing this page.
